Groundhog Impostors

Hard as it may be to believe, there are other groundhogs who are trying to, well, "hog" the limelight on February second. We must do our best to let the public know that there is only one true, reliable weather prophet: Punxsutawney Phil.

This cartoon appeared in The Punxsutawney Spirit newspaper on February 2, 1930, to mock Quarryville's impostor groundhog.

We wanted to publicize the names of some of these marmots to alert the public that they should take their forecasts with a grain of salt:
